'a tout Seigneur, tout l'honneur.'
honour to whom honour is due.

plato: be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a harder battle.

that's some food for thought. alongside:

a) shakespeare makes for good reading, and is very, very worthy of getting obsessive about. that is, as long as the archaic old english is translated, or should i say transcribed, into our comprehensible modern language, hopefully losing little in the process.

b) as seen from the above statement, i abuse commas. alongside exclamation marks and parantheses, that is. apparently, the only punctuation that i fail to misuse are capital letters - almost none in casual / non-serious contexts such as this - and full stops. which technically, are suppposed to be the most frequently used forms of punctuation.

c) choir is therapeutic. and no, i fail to pronounce that word correctly. that aside, depriving me of choir for a week is an extremely bad idea, just like depriving me of highly emotional piano pieces for 4 months. (to put it in context, when you are overwhelmed by negativity, slamming scores of octaves as in the coda of mendelssohn's rondo capriccioso isn't the mightiest way to let go of those emotions.) music is good, indeed. and ahh itsuki (: choral presentation in a bit, we'll definitely be able to make it. :D

d) sitting alone in the pb room is good for you. yes i mean it.

e) literature exams of 50-minute durations are killers. you dissect, analyse, annotate the poem to bits, getting extremely excited by the propsect of sharing all your interesting insights in your essay, only to be let down by the fact that you only have what, 15 mintues to cover that gamut of points. like i said, it is utter, emotional torture, and trauma. plonking quotes and writing one-line elaborations don't exactly make you feel in the best of moods. but sonnets are pretty things. siegfried sassoon, and shakespeare, and edna st. vincent millay (who is probably, rather obscure, but i just got swept away by her imagery)!

[exeunt listmaker]

okay fine so shakespeare is getting to me. i guess this doesn't exactly constitue an update, but i never meant it to be a proper update anyhow. if i were pessimistic, i would follow that up with 'some things in life just aren't meant to be' (which some people are going to interpret wrongly though that's just because they can't understand my kind of, ahem, literature) but now that i've gotten out of that irritating, irksome state, i shall just ptshoo and 'whatever' and -rolls eyes at that. :D

now, history PT, i attack you. defend yourself from my evils, muahahaha. x)

(yes, just in case you haven't noticed, michelle is in a rather, unstable state of mind. but otherwise she is, umm, okay.)

composed; 9:13 PM :D

lives, writes, sings, plays the piano, and attempts to sound intellectual at times (conclusion: fails rather miserably).

loves music (almost strictly classical, hurhur & inclusive of faziolis!), literature (& also the sciences - no they are not in conflict), making hopelessly lame puns, laughter, white/milk chocolate, cheesecake, the world & the people in it. list not exhaustive, by the way.

wants the world to be filled with peace, joy and love, and also wants (perhaps a little more selfishly) to be happy, plus lead a life of purpose. that would be more than enough. (:

oh, and she likes embarking on her own 'free hugs!' campaigns after exams and the like; not really sure why. D: (at any rate, you can tell that she's random enough.)

loves you!♥

very plain, she knows; but this is probably herself in its entirety - nothing more than a compilation of perhaps-boring-to-you little things (and the occasional Important Event), but also nothing less than all the brilliant memories which constitutes her life, and perhaps yours.

also interpreted as an inability to express with other things but words (nothing more, nothing less!), although even words sometimes won't do enough. but she does like orange.

v2.0 (230208): maybe solid grey isn't that fantastic after all. but wordy is good, all the same. she's weird, she knows.

ver. i-pretend-that-it-is-3.0-when-i-know-it-is-not (070608): i am boring, take that. (:

v4.0 (200908): got bored, so cut down on the quasi-fanciful stuff even more. perfectly plain now, though somehow the background still doesn't work on safari / google chrome. ):
